Description

Irrtoolset is a suite of routing policy analysis tools. It is implemented in C++ on a UNIX platform. It has been ported successfully to many platforms including Sun Sparc stations running SunOS 4.1.3 or Solaris, FreeBSD, DEC Alphas running OSF/1, and BSDI. It contains the following programs:

  • RtConfig routing policies analyzer and router configuration tool

  • peval a low-level policy evaluation tool
  • rpslcheck sytax checks the aut-num policy for an AS

Comments

There is an effort on the way to do this, under the name of "RPSLng" (Routing Policy Specification Language, Next Generation). The current version of the Internet-Draft can be found on http://www.radb.net/rpslng.html . IRRToolSet 4.8.1 includes some support for RPSLng. In particular, peval, rpslngcheck and RtConfig understand the new information and can be used to generate IPv6 filter configuration.
